What about the rest? Well, the only other version of Final Fantasy 3 is the original, released on the Famicom in 1990 and available exclusively in Japan. This remake is available on DS, PSN (for PSP and Vita), Steam, and more, making it widely accessible. The basics remain intact - plot, dungeons, bone-crushing difficulty - along with some minor tweaks that help smooth out some of the original's rough edges, such as making more character classes viable during the endgame. The original game has been completely rebuilt using vibrant 3D graphics along with a freshly remixed soundtrack. Thankfully, it's also an excellent remake. It didn't land right away from many people on YouTube, but it did grow on them.The definitive version: Final Fantasy 3 (DS/PSP/PC/Mobile) As this is the only official English version of the game available in the West, it's the winner by default. We're showing the very first scene where these voice actors started, so in the same sense that it takes for the player to adjust to hearing these sounds in-game, the voice actor is also adjusting to the role of the character.

I'll reiterate the same thing though that I've seen from others. It's the same team putting it together, but there will be some adjustments in getting accustomed to the large shift in vocal talent. The Fandub had such an enormous response that anyone dropping into Project Terra is likely going to think that we either have the same voice actors, or that we approached this dub in a manner of trying to replicate the old ones. Some of them were invested into other projects, some couldn't commit to a project of this magnitude (work, personal reasons, school, etc.), some I had no means of contacting, others just dropped out of the voice acting scene entirely. We couldn't get all the same voice actors onboard.
